By taking the Pledge, healthcare professionals join a supportive group of like-minded people who want to increase their impact by doing the most good possible with their charitable donations to help those in poor states of health.

Mission

To create a community of healthcare professionals who take an evidence-based approach to do the most good possible with their charitable donations by donating at least 1% of their income to highly effective global health charities.

Dr Richard Armitage

Dr Richard Armitage

Rich is a GP, Honorary Assistant Professor, and Public Health Speciality Registrar in Nottingham, United Kingdom. He has worked as a doctor in rural Zambia, and in refugee camps in Bangladesh and Greece, is a member of the UK Emergency Medical Team, and is the Founder of the UK-registered charity Volunteer Global Health.

Dr Alastair Yeoh

Alastair is a UK-based doctor who is passionate about improving healthcare for people in low-income countries. During his work in Zambia and Ethiopia he saw first-hand the tragic effects of poverty and disease, but also the huge impact that well-planned interventions can have on people’s lives.

George is a junior doctor based in the UK. He has worked on research investigating the effectiveness of government interventions against Covid-19. He hopes to work in Public Health and use his career to reduce the chance of future pandemics.
